District 19 needs fierce, bold, new leadership.
Today, Nashvillians face being displaced by the rising costs of housing and living expenses due to gentrification and big corporations moving to Nashville. Our schools are underfunded and face the threat of gun violence and mass shootings. Our rights and liberties are being stripped away by government overreach and control. And healthcare is further out of reach for the uninsured and underinsured.
Now serving as “The People’s Senator” for the 19th Senatorial District, Senator Charlane Oliver is the lone progressive voice in the Tennessee State Senate, where she champions a bold legislative agenda that uplifts working-class families, centers racial justice, challenges corporate power, protects marginalized communities, supports women and survivors, and strengthens democracy. She leads the Senate Democratic Caucus as Vice-Chairwoman and the Tennessee Black Caucus of State Legislators as Vice-Chair.
